Meet Geri, a dedicated and longtime Welly member whose commitment to fitness and well-being is truly inspiring! 💪✨
She came to Welly looking to build strength, energy, and balance in her life—and has done just that! Through consistent training, she has embraced the power of movement, formed lasting friendships, and found a supportive community that keeps her motivated.

Q&A with Geri:
1. What brought you to Welly? I needed to bring more health and exercise into my life. I’ve always been a walker, but I realized I needed to strengthen my body with weights and cardio. I met Tanja at Barb's office around the beginning of 2020 and immediately loved her approach to fitness!
2. What are your favorite exercises? I love using the resistance bands and kettlebells!
3. How has Welly impacted your fitness? Oh my goodness—since starting, my energy and fitness levels have tripled! I feel stronger now than ever before in my life.
4. How does fitness fit into your lifestyle? My life is full of activities, from working as a bookkeeper from home to volunteering at the Lady Minto Auxiliary Thrift Shop. I’ve organized my week around my fitness classes because they help me stay balanced.
5. What does exercise mean to you? Exercise and walking help clear my mind so I can concentrate on my bookkeeping work.
6. What do you love about Welly? The Welly community! The ladies I’ve met in class are like-minded, and no matter our age, we’re all working to become stronger and fitter together.
7. What keeps you coming back? I love the variety of classes and the friendships that have blossomed in our fitness community.
8. What would you say to someone thinking about joining? Come try it out! The classes are uplifting, fun, and everyone works at their own pace—there’s no judgment. You’ll improve your overall health while enjoying the company of a great group of people.
9. Why is fitness important as we age? As we get older, we need strong communities to support a healthier, happier, and longer life. As women, the stronger we are in mind and body—with a positive attitude—the better life will be.
